Examples of the Campaign's Impact on UH Mānoa
Enhancing Academic Excellence: More than $96.7 million raised.
Funds for academic support, chairs and professorships, conferences, enrichment, faculty and staff support/awards, the library and special programs.
A few examples of the impact of giving to academic excellence:
- 46 new professorship and department chair accounts
- 6 new faculty and staff awards
- 46 new faculty and staff support accounts
Strengthening Undergraduate Education: More than $53 million raised.
Funds for student aid and services programs, student awards, fellowships, student grants and student scholarships including 321 new student aid accounts.
These new accounts coupled with existing ones bring the total number of student aid accounts managed by UHF for UH Mānoa to 890.
Fulfilling UH Mānoa's Research Mission: More than $40.9 million raised.
SOEST, JABSOM and the College of Natural Sciences received the majority of these funds.
Capital Projects: More than $4.3 million raised.
Ching Field, currently under renovation on the lower campus, is an example of a capital project funded by the Campaign.
Athletics Programming: More than $9.4 million raised.
Other Program Support: More than $1.5 million raised.
Funds for alumni associations, non-academic divisions, public service & extension and publications.
