The following section is a compilation of commonly asked questions to assist you with accessing reports in IFAS. Contact the UH Foundation Help Desk at 808-956-5109 if you have any other questions.
Are there any specific system requirements to use IFAS 7i?
What should I do if I forget my password?
I am unable to print scanned documents. What's wrong?
Any current web browser except Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 should work with IFAS 7i. However, direct report printing is
not available except when using Internet Explorer. If you are using any other browser, please use the Export to PDF function
in the report toolbar, and print the report from your PDF document reader.
Browsers that should work include:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and 7 (Internet Explorer for the Mac is not supported)
Mozilla Firefox
Apple Safari

A pop-up blocker may be blocking the report window. Most pop-up blockers can be temporarily disabled per request by holding down
the Ctrl key (for Internet Explorer's pop-up blocker, use Ctrl + Alt) while clicking a link or button, and holding it down until
the window appears. Also be aware that some browser add-on toolbars also install a pop-up blocker. If you would like to avoid
having to use these keystrokes every time you need to run a report, you can exclude the site finance.uhf.hawaii.edu from being
blocked in your pop-up blocker settings.
If the report being run has a date range as part of the criteria, make sure that the date range is within a single fiscal year
(July 1 to June 30 of the next calendar year). Running reports across fiscal years, or for multiple fiscal years is not supported.
You may have a pop-up blocker installed for Internet Explorer. Most pop-up blockers can be temporarily disabled per request by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking a link or button, and holding it down until the window appears.
The SunGard Bi-Tech Print ActiveX Control needs to be installed. Look for either a window that pops up asking if you want to install the software or a yellow bar that will show up under your Internet Explorer toolbar. In either case, make sure the option to "Always trust content from SunGard Bi-Tech" or "Always install software from SunGard Bi-Tech" is enabled before installing the control.
IFAS 7i reports cannot be printed directly from the report window if you are not using Internet Explorer. Please use the Export to PDF function in the report toolbar, and print the report from your PDF document reader.
The document that you are trying to print may be an image. The Foundation switched to the PDF document format for scanned images in 2007. If your browser supports PDF reading directly, you should be able to print the document from the browser window.
For images, your browser may support image printing in a context menu (in Windows, right-click on the image, and a context menu will appear). Otherwise, either export the image to PDF if the option appears in the toolbar, or save the image as a file to your computer, and print the saved image.
Most of the terms and codes used in report prompts become second nature after you've used the system for a little while. Refer to the drop-down menu for each prompt field for entry options. Or take a look at the Glossary of Terms. If you're still unsure, contact the UH Foundation Help Desk.
