UH Regents, UHF trustees, and special friends came together at the Oahu Country Club to thank Regent Chuck Gee, former dean of the School of Travel Industry Management (TIM), for the leadership he provides for the UH System as an esteemed regent and philanthropic leader.

Dr. Gee has been an active advocate and effective leader in all aspects of the travel industry. His most outstanding contributions have been in the development of human resources through education and training. Through his efforts, the industry has been able to respond to challenges, and adapt to changes throughout the past decades.

Dr. Gee's contributions have extended beyond the Pacific Asia region and the Americas. He was active in the establishment of a network for education and training institutions including work with the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). He is also a prolific author who has received numerous prestigious awards.

With his philanthropy, Dr. Gee is building on an already impressive legacy. His generosity is touching multiple UH programs through endowments supporting the School of Travel Industry Management, the Institute for Astronomy, the UH Cancer Center, and Chinese Opera and Cultural Performances in the College of Arts and Humanities.
