Donna Vuchinich joined the UH Foundation in September 2002 as vice president for development and was appointed president & CEO in June 2004. She has more than 25 years of experience in the public research university fundraising environment. During her tenure at the UH Foundation, she spearheaded the historic Centennial Campaign that raised $336 million for the University of Hawaiʻi. In recognition of her successful partnership with donors and the University, Donna received the 2011 Outstanding Professional Fundraiser, National Philanthropy Day (NPD) Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Prior to joining the UH Foundation, Donna served in administrative and leadership positions with Oregon State University from 1991 - 2002, and with the University of New Mexico and its Foundation from 1978 - 1990. Her early career involved positions in financial, healthcare, and computer services industries.
Donna has been active in national and regional organizations including the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the Association of Governing Boards (AGB), the National Committee on Planned Giving (NCPG) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
In 2012, she was selected to serve as a member of the CASE National Committee for Institutionally Related Foundations.

UH alumnus Paul Y. Kobayashi, Jr joined the Foundation in November 2013 with extensive experience in corporate enterprise and higher education. Kobayashi served as the executive assistant to the vice president of budget and finance and chief financial officer for the University of Hawai‘i System. Prior to that he was the director – financial management and controller at the University of Hawai‘i. Coupled with this, Kobayashi brings years of experience from the private sector. He worked at Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. for fifteen years, serving in a variety of finance and accounting capacities including his last seven years as vice president and controller.
Greg Willems joined the UH Foundation in 2011. He has significant campaign experience in the billion dollar range and has held executive fundraising positions at premier public universities. Prior to his development work, he worked in the corporate sector in the construction, finance and insurance industries.
Prior to joining the UH Foundation, Willems served as the executive director of development at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Here he was active on the vice president for development and alumni engagement's executive team and co-managed the constituency based fundraising division that generates more than $130 million annually for the benefit of UBC.
Earlier in his development career, Willems was a senior director of development for the Texas A&M Foundation where he served in a leadership role for Texas A&M University's successful $1.5B "One Spirit One Vision Campaign". During the campaign, his role included national major gift work for the entire university as well managing the development program for the Dwight Look College of Engineering.
Janet received her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and also holds an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing. She joined the Foundation in 2008 as the associate vice president of alumni relations at the UH Foundation and executive director of UHAA. Bullard came to the UH Foundation after over 10 years at Hawaiian Airlines, most recently serving as senior director of marketing and promotions.
Following her graduation from UH Mānoa where she earned her BFA, she spent most of her career working in the hospitality industry in various marketing and sales management positions with major hotel chains, the Hawaiʻi Convention Center Authority and membership organizations such as the Hawaiʻi Visitors and Convention Bureau and the San Diego Visitors and Convention Bureau.
