Director
Dale is the Director of the Office of Estate and Gift Planning at the University of Hawai‘i Foundation, where he provides estate and gift planning support to UH alumni, their professional advisors, and friends of the University interested in making gifts within the UH System. He brings to the Foundation over 15 years’ experience in the field of gift planning and major gift development. Prior to UHF he was the Director of Planned Giving for the Culver Educational Foundation in Culver, Indiana.
Dale holds a Master’s Degree in Management (MS) from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. He also received his Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University (BS) in Industrial Economics.
Dale’s earlier career spanned a wide range of executive leadership positions including stints as president or general manager of six small to mid-sized companies in five different industries. He also worked for British Airways in Sydney, Australia and Apple Computer in Cupertino, California.
Dale has a long and loving relationship with Hawai‘i starting in 1970 when he first visited Honolulu on his way to live in Australia. Since then he has returned many times on vacation and on business, most recently regularly visiting major donors of Culver Educational Foundation who live in locations throughout the islands.
Dale and his wife Rhonda have two sons who have both graduated from university and are working in the Chicago area.
