UH Information Technology Center

The state-of-the-art UH Information Technology Center opened for business in February 2014. The center houses enterprise information and communications technology systems and services that support modern teaching, administration and research for all ten UH campuses statewide.

The 21st century facility supports the delivery of the 21st century education so critical to our students’ and faculty’s success, and provides critical safeguards our state needs during disasters.

Highlights of the Building Include

  • Disaster-hardened, 8,000-square-foot data center for enterprise servers, storage and communications, designed to withstand category 3 hurricanes
  • High-quality space for faculty to develop digital content
  • Meeting and training rooms with teleconferencing capabilities
  • Modern workspaces for ITS staff
  • An emergency situation room to support UH disaster response
  • Pursuing LEED Silver certification.  The IT Center uses energy efficient chilled beams for cooling in office areas and incorporates other “green” features

By making a gift to support the UH System Information Technology Services, you impact its ability to fulfill its priorities, goals and mission. Private support also helps fund the maintenance, refurbishment and equipment of the IT center and its outdoor area. Gifts help keep the Center an effective resource for Hawai‘i.

In recognition of donors’ support of the ITS program, donor recognition naming opportunities are available. The named space shall be for the useful life of the building, as long as the named space exists and has not be substantially renovated or repurposed for another unit.
