SSFM International Engineering Scholarship

  • Kristi-Ann Lee and Mike Matsumoto

Kristi-Ann Lee, a junior in civil engineering at UH Mānoa, has learned a lot from – and because of – SSFM International. For the past two years she’s interned there, gaining valuable employment experience.

She also received the SSFM scholarship for the past three years, which has enabled her to become more involved on campus.

“The SSFM scholarship greatly reduced my financial burden and opened up many doors for me. Rather than worrying about funding my education, I have been able to focus more on school and being treasurer or the ASCE club at UH.” Kristi-Ann Lee

Mike Matsumoto (BS ’67 Mānoa), SSFM’s president and CEO, feels a responsibility to return support to the institution that created opportunities for his success. That’s why SSFM combines internship with scholarships to give students an invaluable blend of education, experience and professional practice.

We are most grateful for the mutually beneficial partnerships we enjoy with companies like SSFM International. Together we are building the trained workforce we need to meet tomorrow’s needs. Mahalo!
