Tell us about yourself.

I am originally from Pasadena, California and am a transfer student to UH majoring in travel industry management with an emphasis in hospitality. During my study abroad experience in Italy, I found myself truly enjoying the interactions I had. My trip inspired me to look into the field of hospitality so that I will be able to bring the best experience possible to guests I work with.

Tell us about your TIM internship.

I did my internship with Sky Waikiki, a rooftop restaurant, lounge and nightclub, working as their marketing coordinator. I helped guests with making reservations for things such as dinner and bottle service. I also did an internship with Enterprise as a management trainee. Here I played various roles ranging from customer satisfaction to business write-ups.

What do you enjoy most about the TIM School?

I really enjoy the opportunities that the TIM School gives you, such as hands-on experience and meeting professionals.

How has the scholarship and support you’ve received impacted your college experience?
The scholarship has helped me by giving me the confidence and support to know that my change to major in TIM was worth it.

What achievement in your life are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of attending college.

Do you have a thank you message to your donors?

Thank you for this opportunity and support in making the TIM School feel like my second home in Hawai’i. This scholarship has helped me to stay motivated in giving back to my community and the TIM School.

I enjoy the faculty, as I’ve found that they are very willing to help me and my peers.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself in a food/beverage managerial position with the Prince Waikiki.

How has the scholarship and support you’ve received impacted your college experience?

The scholarship has made me grateful for the TIM School, and has motivated me to take initiative to serve and promote the TIM School.

What achievement in your life are you most proud of?

I was named Employee of the Month for November with my current employer, Prince Waikiki.
