The TIM School ‘ohana and Hawaii H.I.S. Corporation are celebrating the establishment of the H.I.S Hawaii TIM Scholarship Endowment for students enrolled at the UH Mānoa School of Travel Industry Management (TIM).  Hawaii H.I.S. Corporation is the successful Hawai‘i branch of its publicly traded Japanese parent corporation, H.I.S. Co., Ltd.  It began travel agency operations in Hawai‘i in 1991.

H.I.S Hawaii TIM Scholarship Criteria

  • Recipients must be full-time or part-time, undergraduate junior or senior students or graduate students enrolled at the School of Travel Industry Management
  • Recipients shall have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above for undergraduate students and 3.0 for graduate students.
  • Recipients shall have above average communication skills as demonstrated in the application and demonstrated leadership potential through extracurricular activities and work experience.
  • Scholarship is open to international students.
  • Financial need shall be a criterion in making this award although not necessarily as defined by federal guidelines.
  • Preference shall be given to students with a focus on the tourism industry.
