McKenna

April 29, 2020

McKenna is a senior in marketing at UH Mānoa who’s hoping to graduate this December. She was in the process of looking for a job when the crisis hit, so she was already worried about money. She’s since returned home to Big Island now that campus is closed. McKenna really appreciated the student relief funding so she could chip in and help her boyfriend with the bills. Her main concern right now is finishing her degree: “I'm almost there!” she said. She’s taking a full load of 19 credit hours this semester that has all moved online, and she’s having a challenging time looking for internships. She hopes to get back to campus this fall for a strong finish. “I just want to thank the donors from the bottom of my heart for thinking about us,” she said. “We really do appreciate it. Mahalo!”
