April 29, 2020

My name is Gregory Morrical, I was approved to receive support from the Urgent Student Relief Fund. Yesterday I received a check for $500. I am so grateful for this generous assistance, it has improved my mental health immensely. I lost my part-time (4 nights per week) job as a waiter at Naung Mai Thai kitchen and each of the 6 yoga classes that I teach was canceled due to the safety precautions set in place to slow the spread of COVID-19. This is understandable because of the close social interactions involved with each job. However, I was left straining to find the resources to pay my monthly rent of $425 for the small apartment I share with one roommate, while simultaneously adjusting to the new online setting for the 5 classes I am currently enrolled in. This past month has been the most unforeseen second half of a first semester starting college I could imagine. Although, I'm sure it will provide much inspiration for stories as I develop my career as an author. I'm currently 31 and returning to college to major in Philosophy after years of exploring the world by cars, feet, bikes, trains, and planes. I hope you will one day enjoy the books I have written and they will provide you with an escape from, as well as a fresh reflection of, this world we live upon... this world we have come from.

Thank you,
Gregory Morrical
