HAWAIʻI — The University of Hawai‘i Foundation in partnership with generous donors and UH partners, raised $129 million in fiscal year 2015 (7/1/2014 - 6/30/2015). These funds will support students, faculty, research and programs on all ten UH campuses.

“This year we saw 29,653 donors making gifts of all sizes to support programs that they are passionate about. We are excited and energized by their generosity and the knowledge that every single gift will make a difference for Hawai‘i.” said Donna Vuchinich, president and CEO, UH Foundation.

UH Foundation Board Chair T. Michael May added, “These private investments fund University of Hawai‘i faculty excellence, students’ access to a quality higher education and tools to succeed, critical environmental, health and wellness related research, and myriad programs and learning opportunities for our communities.” May concluded, “We are most grateful to all our donors for their generosity and foresight.”

This record-breaking achievement was thanks in large part to Jay H. Shidler’s historic $69 million visionary gift commitment.  You can read about more major gifts to UH here.
