The establishment of the Paul Y. Matsuda Endowed Scholarship for UH Hilo Men's Basketball was recognized at halftime of the Vulcans 1/27/18 basketball game against Point Loma.
A group of supporters who were instrumental in establishing the endowment in their friend's honor presented the ceremonial big check to UH Hilo athletic director Patrick Guillen. More than $36,000 has been contributed to date to the scholarship fund, which will help UH Hilo basketball players with funds for tuition, books, fees and other costs related to attendance.
