On Saturday, August 23, 2008 friends of the Culinary Institute of the Pacific celebrated the $5 million gift from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. At this intimate event, old friends reconnected and listened to exciting updated from CIP leadership. New drawings of the Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Diamond Head were shared, and a matching gift program was unveiled.
** The Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Diamond Head will be a world-class facility on the site of the former Cannon Club, overlooking the premier tourist destination of Waikiki. The advanced culinary institute will educate and train a new generation of highly skilled chefs, restaurant managers and culinary workers who will sustain Hawaiʻi’s visitor and restaurant industries and expand our growing reputation as a culinary destination.
