Generous scholarship donors and scholarship recipients came together at the annual Mahalo Breakfast to celebrate the impact private gifts make in the lives of our students.
Hawai‘i CC Chancellor Rachel Solemsaas shared this inspiring update with the group. “This year donors have provided $149,000 in educational assistance. This is a 30% increase from last year, and we now have 5 new scholarship funds. Simply amazing!”
She continued, “You make quality education possible for so many students. Mahalo for your dedication, generosity and friendship.”
The delicious breakfast was prepared by faculty chefs and culinary arts students – several of whom are scholarship recipients.
Donors greatly enjoyed meeting scholarship recipients and hearing from them how their gifts are changing lives for the better.
