Event Date: October 15, 2010

On Friday October 15, Windward Community College donors, faculty, staff and friends were treated to a night to remember with the re-opening of the Hōkūlani Imaginarium.

The "out-of-this-world" event showcased the Imaginarium's new Sky-Skan computer system. Excited attendees experienced first-hand the power of fulldome digital technology and three-dimensional graphics during a special screening of the new show, "Tales of the Maya Skies". For a night, the audience was transported to the world of the ancient Maya, whose culture is integrally connected to the universe.

Windward Community College physics & astronomy professor Dr. Joseph Ciotti and Chancellor Douglas Dykstra offered updates on this dynamic project and expressed their gratitude to the donors and friends who have been such valuable partners throughout the journey.
