More than 400 donors and scholarship recipients came together for the annual scholarship celebration at the Stan Sheriff Center. Guests enjoyed hearing first-hand how scholarships are making a difference in students’ lives and helping to build a sustainable future. Engaging speakers included UH President David Lassner and scholarship recipients Elahe Taifar and Kaipu Baker. The event marked 62 years of the UH Foundation partnering with donors and UH to transform lives through the power of education!
UH Foundation President and CEO Donna Vuchinich said, “We are here tonight to thank and recognize our scholarship donors and congratulate our student recipients as we celebrate our “Journey Beyond”. Our work is beyond higher education, our campuses, our students, and the degrees and research they are pursuing. It is about our journey working together that will lead to successes beyond what we’ve imagined possible.”
