Komatsu and Ottiger now Directors

The University of Hawai‘i Foundation is happy to announce two promotions in the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations.

Laurie Komatsu Laurie Komatsu has been promoted from associate director of corporate and foundation relations to director of corporate and foundation relations. In this elevated role, Komatsu develops initiatives to expand the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations’ relationship with University of Hawai‘i academic leadership and faculty members, and prospective funders. She also creates programs to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward gifts from local, national, and international foundations and corporations as part of a comprehensive fundraising effort to benefit the UH System. Komatsu earned a BA in Communications from the University of California, Los Angeles, her Master of Public Administration from UH Mānoa, and an MBA from UH Mānoa Shidler College of Business.

Lisa Ottiger Lisa Ottiger has been promoted from associate director of corporate and foundation relations to director of proposal development. In this elevated role, Ottiger works closely with University of Hawai‘i faculty and administration to develop and write proposals to raise private support for UH programs. She also participates in the cultivation and stewardship of foundations and corporations to benefit UH programs statewide. A UH Mānoa alumna, Ottiger has both a Masters and PhD in English.
