UH Medical School Medical Outreach to Homeless Patients Receives $10,000 from Kaiser Permanente Hawaii
A Kaiser Permanente doctor in Hawaiʻi who won an award for her outstanding community service has dedicated the $10,000 prize to support The Hawai’i H.O.M.E. Project, which provides medical care for the homeless.
University of Hawai‘i Shidler College of Business receives $228 million in total gifts from alumnus Jay H. Shidler
Alumnus Jay H. Shidler has donated $117 million in cash and real estate ground leases immediately after delivering the final installment of the $111 million gift he announced in 2014. In total, Mr. Shidler has given $228 million to the school.
The Uehiro Foundation on Ethics and Education has pledged $1.35 million to support the University of Hawai‘i Uehiro Academy for Philosophy and Ethics in Education. This builds on their 2012 gift of $1.25 million which established the Academy.
