UH Foundation Honored For Outstanding Tagline

The University of Hawaiʻi Foundation tagline "For our University, our Hawaiʻi, our Future" was selected as a 2012 award winner in the grantmaking organization category by over 3,300 voters (nonprofit professionals and interested others). It was lauded for "thoroughly communicating the value of its work while evoking every Hawaiian’s typically loyal ties to this special place and its future. You hear the love!"

Dr. Max G. Botticelli Memorial Endowment for Innovative Medical Education

More than 400 friends and colleagues have joined the Botticelli family and University Health Alliance (UHA), in funding an endowment at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) to memorialize the legacy and impact of academic medicine pioneer, Dr. Max G. Botticelli.

Belinda Aquino Establishes International Philippine Studies Endowment

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa alumna and faculty member, Dr. Belinda Aquino, has established the Belinda A. Aquino International Philippine Studies endowment. This fund will promote and enhance academic and professional studies at UH Mānoa on the Philippines and Filipinos from an international, comparative, cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspective.

Hawai‘i Food Industry Association Rainbow Fever Athletic Scholarship

The Hawai‘i Food Industry Association Foundation aka HFIA Rainbow Fever Program has awarded $920,727 to fuel athletic scholarships at UH Mānoa and UH Hilo. This gift establishes two endowments, with $828,653.53 supporting the Hawaiʻi Food Industry Association Rainbow Fever Athletic Scholarship Endowment at UH Mānoa and $92,072.60 for the Hawaiʻi Food Industry Association Vulcan Fever Athletic Scholarship Endowment at UH Hilo.

New Program at Kapi‘olani CC Will Change Lives

Thanks to generous support from the Kaneta Foundation, 21 Hawaiʻi students are enrolled in a new program at Kapiʻolani Community College and receiving a transformative college experience. Through the King William Charles Lunalilo Scholars Project, students who had not previously considered higher education a viable option due to financial or other barriers participate in a summer bridge program and then a first year experience program at Kapiʻolani CC.

Vuchinich to Serve on National CASE Committee
