Scholarship donors, student scholarship recipients and members of the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo ‘ohana celebrated the impact private support is making in the lives of UH Hilo students at the annual UH Hilo Scholarship event.
Guests enjoyed hearing from UH Hilo Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Matt Platz, John McVickar a generous donor, scholarship recipients and the Financial Aid Office director Sherrie Padilla.
Students were grateful for the opportunity to personally thank the phenomenal people who are funding their dreams and making a quality higher education a reality.
