Heritage Society members and special friends of the University of Hawai‘i, enjoyed a thought-provoking, and fun event that featured presentations by exceptional professors from across the UH System.

Guests were delighted to have the opportunity to hear directly from leaders in their fields as they addressed issues ranging from healthy aging, Hawaiian mushrooms to killer asteroids and the story of our calendar.

The full program concluded with a reflection on the impact planned and estate gifts are making in the lives of students and UH programs. Denise B. Evans Fellow Yoshimi Rii brought this to life with her heartwarming talk about her work, and the difference her fellowship has made to her research and her future. To read more about the Denise B.
