On February 12th friends and family of local cartoonist "Corky" gathered together to celebrate the establishment of the Corky Trinidad Endowment Fund which was created in his honor at the Center for Philippine Studies, UH Mānoa.

Thanks to the collaborative effort by the Friends of Corky, Honolulu Star-Bulletin, Society of Professional Journalists of Honolulu, Pamana Dancers, and the Filipino Community Center, $42,916 was raised to start this fund. The group plans to keep fundraising and build this endowment further. To help grow the Corky Trinidad Endowment Fund please contact Harriet Cintron at (808) 956-3594 or give online.

Through this special endowment, Corky's legacy will live on in perpetuity.

"It's good to know that Corky will still be around in this way, still helping out the next generation."
- Lorenzo Trinidad, Corky's son
