Disney Conservation Fund Helps UH Hilo Team Protect the Sounds of the Forest

A team from the Tropical Conservation Biology and Environment Sciences program and Biology Department at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo is the latest recipient of support from the Disney Conservation Fund for its work to promote successful conservation of the critically endangered ʻAlalā or Hawaiian Crow.

Dr. Jocelyn Romero Demirbag joins UH Foundation Team

The University of Hawai‘i Foundation is delighted to welcome Dr. Jocelyn Romero Demirbag, Ed.D. to the advancement team where she will serve as director of development for the University of Hawai‘i Maui College. In this role, Romero Demirbag will expand fundraising efforts and broaden philanthropic support for students and programs at the college.

Hawaiian Electric Funds Electric Vehicle for JABSOM HOME Project

Hawaiian Electric Company and the HEI Charitable Foundation have donated $30,000 to the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa John A. Burns School of Medicine’s Hawai‘i Homeless Outreach & Medical Education Project (HOME) to purchase an electric vehicle.  It will be used to transport homeless patients to medical and dental appointments.
