Foundations Forging the Future: Freeman Foundation Awards $400,000 to UH College of Education & School of Pacific and Asian Studies
"There is a shortage of Chinese teachers at K-12 schools across the U.S. With the Freeman grant, UH will become one of the few universities in the country that can produce K-12 Chinese language teachers. Asian Languages & Literatures (EALL) and College of Education (COE) will work closely to produce high quality Chinese language teachers that will meet the states’ license requirements.

Jay Shidler Pledges Another $1 Million to Renovate the UH Mānoa Shidler College of Business
(Honolulu, Hawaiʻi) — The University of Hawaiʻi Foundation received an in-kind gift of $526,000 as part of a $1 million pledge from real estate entrepreneur Jay Shidler to support ongoing renovations at the UH Mānoa Shidler College of Business. Shidler’s donation will fund additional exterior and interior building renovations at the College.
