Support exceptional public leadership

We invite you to invest in the education of public and non-profit leaders by donating to the Dick Pratt Scholarship fund. By supporting University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Public Administration Program (PUBA) students, we are investing in leaders who can embody effective public service and exceptional public leadership.

Honoring Dick Pratt

This scholarship initiative originated with alumni in recognition of the critical role Dick Pratt played as PUBA’s founder and leader for over two decades. He developed an all-inclusive, highly interactive curriculum and enriching learning experience that embodied “leadership in public service.” He has had, and continues to have, a profound impact on the PUBA program and on the lives and careers of his students.

The scholarship will honor Dick’s work while helping PUBA to reach its mission over the long run.

Scholarships for our future

The cost of tuition at UH Mānoa continues to rise 7% annually; resident tuition is nearly $15,000, mainland and international $37,000.

The Dick Pratt Scholarship will provide aid to those who otherwise might not apply or be able to continue studying due to financial difficulties. Its overall intent is to support PUBA in attracting and retaining promising individuals for leadership in public service, especially needed in tumultuous times.

Please join us in funding the Dick Pratt Scholarship. Your contribution will honor Dick’s legacy by building the next generation of public and non-profit leaders. Working together in the PUBA tradition, we can achieve our goal!
