(Honolulu, Hawaiʻi) — ʻAhahui Koa Ānuenue (AKA), the non-profit fundraising partner of the University of Hawaiʻi at MĀnoa Athletics Department (UHAD), has elected seven new board members. In addition, Bonny Amemiya has been elected Treasurer for the board replacing Warren K.K. Luke who’s term has ended.

Carolyn Berry is a successful philanthropist and passionate fan for University of Hawaiʻi Men’s Basketball. Her community involvement includes Honolulu Symphony, Hawaiʻi Youth Symphony, Adult Friends for Youth, Diamond Head Theatre, Special Olympics Hawaiʻi, and many others. She was instrumental in organizing UH Athletics’ first $1 million endowment campaign to support Men’s Basketball undergraduate and graduate scholarships.

Albert D.K. Chee, Jr. serves as Hawaiʻi Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs for Chevron Corporation. He is also an active member of the Hawaiʻi Bowl Executive Committee and on the board of directors for Hawaiʻi Speed & Quickness.

Robert Iopa is President and Principal of WCIT Architecture which specializes in the field of hospitality and leisure design. Under Rob’s leadership, the company has been listed as one of 2008 Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top 100 Companies, and 2008 Hawaiʻi Small Business Person of the Year. Rob has also been recognized as one of Pacific Business News’ Forty under 40 and is a graduate of the Pacific Century Fellows.

Ernest K. Nishizaki is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Kyo-ya Company, Ltd. Included among his many community associations are Hawaiʻi Hotel Association Board Chair, University of Hawaiʻi TIM School Advisory Council Member, Sheraton Hawaiʻi Bowl Executive Committee Member and Tax Foundation of Hawaiʻi Governing Member. He was awarded the University of Hawaiʻi Distinguished Alumni Award in 1998 and University of Hawaiʻi Travel Industry Management Outstanding Alumnus Award in 1993.

Raymond S. Ono is Vice Chairman of the Business Banking and Wealth Management Group for Hawaiʻi, Guam, and CNMI for First Hawaiian Bank. His community associations include serving on the boards of the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific, Hawaiʻi Health Systems Corporation, First Hawaiian Bank Foundation, Iolani Alumni Association, St. Andrew Priory School, and Waialae Country Club.

Kurt Osaki is Principal and President of Osaki Design specializing in corporate and sports branding. Community associations include Hawaiʻi Chamber of Commerce of Northern California founder, Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California board of director, and University of Hawaiʻi Alumni Association board of director and Distinguished Alumni Award recipient in 2001.

Nick W. Teves, Jr. is President of Commercial Electric, Inc. His community and professional organizations include Pacific Electrical Contractors Association President, Sand Island Business Association board member, State of Hawaiʻi Land Use Commission board member, and Na Koa Football Club board member.
