WINDWARD CC — The Lani-Kailua Outdoor Circle (LKOC) recently donated $5,000 to fund scholarships at Windward Community College. This gift will be awarded to students during the 2012-2013 academic year.

This new gift will support existing LKOC scholarships at Windward CC: the LKOC Environmental Studies Scholarship and the WCC Agriculture Scholarship. To date, the LKOC Environmental Studies Scholarship, established in 2010, has awarded $5,000. The WCC Agriculture Scholarship was established in 1993 and has awarded a total of $9,000 in scholarship support.

"More than 700 Windward CC students have received scholarships over the past five years, totaling $280,000, thanks to private donors," said Windward Community College Chancellor Doug Dykstra. He continued, "It is wonderful to see the cumulative impact donors are making."
