UH’s most generous donors were honored at an intimate event at the Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Diamond Head.

Governor David Ige warmly thanked donors and shared how their gifts are effectively leveraged with state support to enhance programs and facilities at UH, benefitting UH students and communities statewide.

In a special ceremony, UH President David Lassner presented awards to Jay & Wallette Shidler, Barry & Virginia Weinman and Dr. Thomas Kosasa for their extraordinary generosity and the role they play in inspiring others to also make transformational gifts to UH.

After the program, guests joined locally renowned chefs and culinary students in the brand new kitchens where they enjoyed delicious dishes and lively conversation.

Guests enjoyed the spectacular views of the new facility as the sun was going down, bringing to a close a night to remember.
