(Honolulu, Hawaiʻi) - The University of Hawaiʻi Foundation announces three appointments to its development team and three staff promotions in other areas of its operations. Noelehua Archambault and Marla Musick are new development officers for UH Mānoa Colleges of Arts and Sciences and Kapiʻolani Community College, respectively, and Kelvin Shoji has been appointed development officer for UH Mānoa Athletics. Cindy Richardson has been hired as the new development researcher.

Director of Development Noelehua Archambault most recently joined the Foundation from Harvard University where she worked for the last six years, most recently as associate director of International Initiatives. In that position she was responsible for raising funds from international and domestic alumni and non-alumni friends of Harvard, setting development strategy, managing international fundraising trips and the day-to-day operations of the department. Prior to Harvard, she was with EF Foundation for Foreign Study in Cambridge, MA as director of flights and regional manager. Archambault earned a BA in Comparative Literature from Cornell University, a Certificate in International Management from UH Mānoa and a MEd in International Education from Harvard University.

Director of Institutional Development Marla Musick previously served as a manager of the Graphic Design office of The New York Public Library. Prior to that, she was coordinator of the Friends Program, the direct marketing fundraising division of the library’s Development and Government Affairs Office. Musick also worked as membership and volunteer coordinator for the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum at the Smithsonian Institution in New York. During her four years in that position, she was responsible for devising the overall strategy to increase the number of museum memberships and income from members through renewals, upgrades and direct mail solicitations. She received her bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from UH Mānoa and a MA from New York University.

Previously director of development for UH Mānoa’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, Shoji is now working to gain private support for UH Mānoa’s Athletics programs, a role he formerly served from 1997 to 2002. Prior to joining the Foundation , he was with the Aloha Council, Boy Scouts of America for 18 years serving in several capacities including district executive, director of special projects and finance executive. He earned a BA in Education from Linfield College in Oregon.

Development Researcher Cindy Richardson was international programs manager with Omega Vision in the French Caribbean, where she studied French for two years, prior to joining the Foundation. She graduated with a BA from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.

Teresa Chaffee from development associate of scholarships to assistant director of scholarship development

Jennifer Foley from assistant director to associate director of foundation and corporate relations

Tyrome Yamaguchi from assistant director of the calling center to associate director of annual giving
