Join Hawai'i Island high school students as they immerse themselves in Hawaiian culture and knowledge during the 2016 Kupa ʻĀina summer bridge program. Stunning footage of Hawai'i Island, moving personal journeys and more. This life-changing program grew out of a robust partnership between Kamehameha Schools Extension Educational Services Division, University of Hawai'i at Hilo and the Department of Education. The 2016 students came from Keaʻau, Pāhoa, Hilo, Waiākea and Hawaiian focus public charter schools: Kani O Ka ʻĀina, Kua O Ka La, Nāwahīokalaniʻōpuʻu, Kamakau (Oʻahu).
