The University of Hawai`i Cancer Center is building an Early Phase Clinical Research Center to conduct phase-one trials of cancer treatments here for the Islands’ diverse population of people of different races and ethnicities. Additional funding will help the center attract the best faculty from across the U.S., and to develop a drug development program and biotech incubator that can discover new compounds for treatments right here in Hawai`i.
