The Honolulu Community College Fashion Technology Program came full circle at a very special event that featured three successful fashion technology alumni at a unique dining and fashion experience.

The event at Stage Restaurant, Honolulu Design Center, included a silent auction and highly anticipated fashion show featuring Honolulu’s fashion technology students; Kini Zamora, Project Runway Season 13 Star; Ari South, Project Runway Season 8 & Season 3 All-Star; and Danene Manuheali‘i Lunn of Manuheali‘i.

“Our program was all about coming ‘full circle’.  Our alumni go on to have successful careers in the fashion industry and so many of them come back to share their experiences with current students as well as give back to the program that helped build their foundation in fashion design,” said Joy Nagaue, professor and program liaison of the Fashion Technology program at Honolulu CC, and 2014 recipient of the Governor’s Fashion Award.

Close to $6,500 was raised for Fashion Technology Scholarships.  In addition, net proceeds after event expenses will support the Fashion Technology Program.
