(Honolulu, Hawaiʻi) — The University of Hawaiʻi Foundation has elected Lance Wilhelm to its Board of Trustees.

An 18-year veteran of the Hawaiʻi construction industry, Wilhelm is senior vice president and Hawaiʻi area manager at Kiewit Building Group, a leading national general contractor and construction manager. The company focuses on hospitality, retail, health care, military, education, and public works projects. Current projects include the Department of Hawaiʻian Home Lands headquarters in Kapolei, Lahaina Gateway, a retail development, and renovation work at Kaiser Moanalua Medical Center and Kuakini Medical Center. Notable past projects include the Pacific Aviation Museum at Pearl Harbor, Maui Marketplace, Island Pacific Academy, and the Interisland Terminal at the Honolulu International Airport.

Wilhelm is active in both business and community organizations in addition to his new position serving on the UH Foundation’s Board of Trustees. He is a director on several boards, including the General Contractor’s Association of Hawaiʻi, the Honolulu Executive Association, the YMCA of Honolulu and Honolulu Theatre for Youth. He is also a trustee of several local union trust funds. In addition, Wilhelm is a past president of both the Hawaiʻi Chapter of Associated General Contractors of America and the Honolulu Executive’s Association.

A graduate of the Kamehameha Schools, Wilhelm earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Hawaiʻi.
